Abraham Lincoln grew up like some of us did. Sickness and disease swept the towns where he lived and some people, family, and friends died. I cannot judge his background and compare it to the fact of the president seat. He struggled as a kid and as an adult he made a name for himself. he opened a store in New Salem and people came far and near to flock to him to hear the stories. Almost as if in todays society. There was nothing in his background that I can say made me look or think twice from when he was the president. Abraham Lincoln endured losing his mom to the milk sickness but he did not have a meltdown. He took the bad, pushed it to the side and made a name for himself.
