Similarities between Christian creation and the Iroquois creation story

The Earth’s on turtles back and the Iroquois creation story have many similarities. Both stories portray a turtle that is used to represent earth (land). The Iroquois creation story the woman bearing her child descends to the deep part of the unknown darkness in which monsters gathered around her. The animals gather around her in the water when the two swans come down to the water from catching the woman.
